BETTER THAN YOUR FAVORITE SEQUEL: THE COLONIAL IS BACK. TO STAY. WITH YOUR HELP.

Hello Belfast and its Surrounding Neighbors,

Wow. It's great to be back showing movies in Waldo County!

Even though the building remains much the same: this all-new community-run model is now in motion. The not-for-profit group that assumed operation of the Colonial Theatre this fall is beyond-excited to be able to host audiences again in Waldo County. Just as before, this cinema is being run by-and-for the Greater Belfast Community.

After more than a year of unlit neon, closed doors and some very lonely fiberglass elephants: the Colonial re-opened in the evening Friday, November 17, 2023. The theatre now operates on a five day per-week schedule from Wednesday – Sunday.

As has been said in Downtown Belfast for decades... [We'll] See you at the Movies!!
