Torchlight Media, a community-based multimedia arts and production studio for local youth and adults in downtown Belfast, announces its final exhibition of media work created since the pilot program launched in January of this year.
The event is by-donation or free and takes place in the Dreamland Auditorium on Tuesday, December 10, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre. Thanks to support from event sponsors (not yet disclosed): the Greater Waldo County Area media-loving community is invited to attend, thanks to support from event sponsors.
Inspired by the format for the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at Maine College of Art & Design Final Exhibition, 12 high school students from the inaugural class of the Youth Multimedia Mentorship program — the "Torchlight Creatives" — will share and present work made during more than 40 hours of after-and-out-of-school sessions, from September through May.
